RWE e-Mobility launches tailor-made dealer tool in cooperation with getit

(PresseBox) (Dortmund, )
Supported by getit as a leading provider of integrated e-commerce solutions, energy company RWE has laid another significant building block towards getting electric vehicles more rapidly onto the street. Based on the onion.net CMS, a tailor-made extranet has been developed that enables car dealers, electrical fitters and RWE itself to manage customer requests for electric vehicles and charging stations, track the progress of orders and achieve greater organisational transparency. "The fact that the RWE Group has entrusted this flagship project to onion.net fills us with pride and confirms the excellent value of our product," says Bernd Burkert, product manager at onion.net.

onion.net: The CMS for fast-paced, bespoke solutions

Key requirements such as customisability and ease of integration led the energy group to entrust the implementation of this ambitious extranet project to onion.net which replaces the time-consuming programming of conventional solutions with a modelling approach. "Thanks to our state-of-the art CMS, individual customisations can take place easily and efficiently using the modelling feature in the onion.net editor. With onion.net, tailored solutions can thus be implemented much faster and easily expanded without expensive programming work," explains Burkert. The intelligent system core automatically adapts the user interface and the data persistence layer to the model.

A powerful online tool that leads the way

RWE has thus acquired a powerful online tool, enabling the optimal implementation of a variety of business processes related to the development of electric mobility, using the latest web technology. "We are excited by the RWE e-Mobility dealer tool and it is also going down very well with the dealers. Cumbersome processes that previously had to pass through many hands can now be easily handled and consolidated by the dealer tool. "We can lead the way with this powerful tool," says Rene Caplan, Project Manager at RWE Effizienz GmbH.
