Die GETIT, Hersteller des Content Management Systems onion.net und Partner von Microsoft, war als Sponsor und Aussteller vertreten. In einem Fachvortrag mit Live-Demo zeigte Bernd Burkert, Produktmanager für onion.net, die Vorteile der onion.net SharePoint® Integration.
Unternehmen, die für die Zusammenarbeit in Teams und Arbeitsgruppen auf SharePoint® setzen, können hiermit Arbeitsergebnisse aus SharePoint® direkt im Internet verwenden. onion.net befreit die Inhalte aus dem SharePoint® Seitenkontext, so dass sie auf einfache Weise im Web für unterschiedlichste Aggregationen und Kanäle live zur Verfügung stehen. Gleichzeitig soll die Belastung der SharePoint® Infrastruktur durch Anfragen aus dem World-Wide-Web weitgehend reduziert werden. »Ob da 1 Nutzer oder 10 Millionen drauf schauen, das merken nur die onion.net Web-Server. Für SharePoint® bleibt die Last praktisch gleich«, erklärte Burkert.
Den Besuchern wurde am Beispiel eines Fahrradherstellers gezeigt, wie eine in SharePoint® aktualisierte Information ohne weiteres auf den Webseiten der angeschlossenen Fahrradhändler im eigenen Corporate Design integriert werden kann.
»Das war ein sehr erfolgreicher Tag mit vielen kompetenten Besuchern«, zog Burkert das Fazit aus der Veranstaltung. »Nach unserer Einschätzung geht das Thema SharePoint® in Deutschland jetzt erst richtig los. Wir können den SharePoint® Kunden eine sehr effektive Lösung bieten, um Arbeitsergebnisse auf vielfache Weise im Web zu nutzen; egal ob mit SharePoint® 2007 oder demnächst mit SharePoint® 2010.«
