Following four 16pp Compacta 215 and three 48pp Compacta 618 presses from KBA, Sociedade Gráfica da Paiã (Sogapal), one of the biggest commercial printer in Portugal, is expanding its activities with a 64-page Compacta 818 at its new plant in Cacém, 20km (121/2m) northwest of Lisbon city centre.
The big new 43,500rph press for a web width of 1,905mm (75in) and a cylinder circumference of 1,240mm (483/4in) will print top-quality products both for the domestic market and for export to Spain, France, Belgium and the UK.
