Avid interest in plastic and film printing

Veitshöchheim, (PresseBox) - A week into Drupa, and business on the KBA stand in hall 16 is humming. In the green printing zone, KBA-Metronic's B3 (20in) Genius 52UV and its Universys industrial ID press are a magnet for members of the print media industry from all over the world. By the first weekend Genius 52UV presses had been sold to printers in North America and Thailand.

The waterless UV technology developed by KBA-Metronic is winning over an increasing number of printers because it enables them to exploit new business applications. Prospects could see for themselves just how fast the press can be converted from one job to the next. And because the Genius 52UV runs up to saleable colour in just seven to ten sheets, it is ideal for jobs involving short or medium runs on costly, high-grade materials.. Not only does its UV capability allow it to print a wide range of plastics and films, but it also means that these can be finished virtually straight off the press, with no delay for drying.

In addition to the Genius 52UV on the KBA stand there is a plinth-mounted coater version with extended delivery on the Toray stand in (3/B35), illustrating the range of customised configurations that are possible with this compact, yet highly versatile press.
