Kögel tipper trailer: 2-axle version

Optionally available in various body and wall thickness combinations

(PresseBox) (Burtenbach, )
Kögel will be showing the 2-axle version of the Kögel tipper trailer for 3-axle tractor units at bauma 2016 in Munich. The slew radius can be adjusted depending on the tractor unit owing to a moveable king pin and the resulting longer wheel base. Like its 3-axle big brother, the 2-axle tipper trailer is also available in two versions with a loading volume of either 24 m³ or 27 m³. It is particularly suited to the hardest of applications on building sites and in gravel pits. It goes without saying that the 2-axle tipper trailer is also available in various body and wall thickness combinations. The body is available in a thickness of 4, 5 or 6 millimetres and the side walls in a thickness of 3, 4 or 5 millimetres.

The variant of the 2-axle tipper trailer with a 27 m³ loading volume which will be shown at bauma 2016 has a 6 mm thick body bottom and a 4 mm thick hydraulic tailgate made of tempered Hardox 450 steel and side walls made of high-strength 5 mm S700 steel sheets. This reinforced combination is optimally suited for daily practical use with rubble, gravel and aggregates of all kinds.

A wide range of individual features

As well as the various wall thickness combinations, the exhibited trailer will include special equipment such as a toolbox, a control pedestal, a lift axle, LED reversing lights and a hydraulic tailgate which is both swinging and wide-opening and can be closed by pressing the brake pedal.

Cathodic dip-paint coating: lasting protection against corrosion

The entire vehicle frame and the body of the Kögel tipper trailer are given long-lasting protection against corrosion by nano-ceramic technology and cathodic dip-paint coating and a UV top coat.
