(PresseBox) (Munich, )
“As a Top Employer in Germany we have put in place a state-of-the-art infrastructure for experienced engineers to enable them to develop outstanding products and systems for our customers,” explains Jörg Stegert, Head of Corporate Human Resources at Knorr-Bremse. “At the same time we also foster the development of high potentials at international level. In this respect our Management Evolution Program (MEP) for trainees has proven its worth in shaping the technical management staff of the future.” In mid-2016, Knorr-Bremse set another milestone as an employer by opening its new Development Center in Munich. This leading-edge facility hosts 350 engineers and technicians working at cross-divisional level on new products and systems for rail and commercial vehicles. Here they have over 100 high-tech test benches and dynamometers as well as fully equipped, state-of-the-art laboratories at their disposal.

Every year, the Top Employers Institute certifies employers around the world who demonstrate excellence in terms of HR leadership and strategy. Knorr-Bremse’s HR approach was appraised in the categories Talent Strategy, Workforce Planning, On-boarding, Learning and Development, Performance Management, Leadership Development, Career & Succession Management, Compensation & Benefits, and Culture. As Steffen Neefe, Country Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland at the Top Employers Institute, reports: “Our detailed validation process showed that Knorr-Bremse AG has created an outstanding employee environment and offers a wide range of creative initiatives. These extend from secondary benefits and working conditions all the way to a performance management system that is entirely in harmony with the corporate culture.”
