Expanding the machine park with a Genius 52UV

Vagner Graphic SAS from Nancy, France

(PresseBox) (Veitshöchheim, )
Of late, a Genius 52UV with a coating unit from KBA-Metroprint has been a new addition to the machine park at Vagner Graphic SAS in Nancy, France. This successfully operating printing company is now in a position to print on specialty and non-absorbent substrates such as plastics or on specially treated paper surfaces up to a paper format of 36 x 52 cm and on substrates 0.8 mm thick.

With the Genius 52UV, the company can now offer customers special additional printing services such as 3D lenticular images, transparent stickers, or high-quality plastic promotional items that are not normally possible with conventional offset printing. KBA-MetroPrint of Veitshöchheim near Würzburg, Germany, is thus continuing its success in its current boom year of 2011 with the waterless UV printing technology that it has developed and manufactured itself.

"The Genius 52UV is being seen by ever more users as a competitive advantage over digital printing, especially in difficult times for offset printing. I am also convinced that as a result of the existing waterless and keyless technology developed by KBA-MetroPrint, the art of balancing digital and conventional offset printing has been mastered and so new trends may result" explained Dominique Houot, CEO of Graphic Vagner SAS.

The Genius 52UV prints in top quality after a just few start-up sheets, which makes itself felt especially positive in relation to small print runs. Plastics and coated Chromolux are high-priced substrates. Using the Genius 52 UV, such applications can be managed with a high-margin, and with a technology that is easy-to-use and environmentally friendly.

The four-roller KBA-MetroPrint inking unit with its Anilox screen roller, ink roller and plate cylinder and blanket cylinder transfers the ink evenly and quickly onto the substrate. There is no ghosting with this printing machine.

Thanks to the UV-cured inks, the substances can be processed immediately after printing. The coating unit also installed at Vagner Graphic SAS makes possible different ways of processing to give the products a high-class appearance.

Printing capacity is enhanced by a highly developed and state-of-the-art prepress and similarly well-equipped finishing.

Founded in 1843, this well-established company now is thus able to meet all the requirements of a demanding market and to continue to do so in the future.
