Passing the Torch at Kappa optronics

(PresseBox) (Gleichen, )
At Kappa optronics, specialist in “cameras and vision systems for everything that drives and flies”, Johannes Overhues has taken over the reins of management as of 1 May 2020, relieving Christian Stickl who assumed leadership four years prior. Stickl is passing the leadership torch to the next generation and will depart from the company following a period of transition.

With its unique expertise, Kappa optronics is solidly positioned for the future, and even under difficult conditions created by the coronavirus is on a stable and profitable growth trajectory. Among other accomplishments, Airbus named Kappa “Best Innovator Overall” in 2019 from among all its suppliers. Vis-a-vis customers, partners, and suppliers, Overhues stands for continuity. He will continue to consistently develop the chosen direction in three Aviation, Defense-Land, and Vision Solutions business units.

With a degree in process technology engineering, Overhues brings with him relevant experience from the field of industrial thermal imaging cameras as well as from measurement and control technology. Most recently, he served as CEO of GHM Messtechnik GmbH, which he led to successful internationalization and profitable growth. Prior to that, he worked at various companies, including GEA Group, MKS Instruments, and Lumasense Technologies (now Advanced Energy), as CEO and Director of Sales and Marketing.

Said Overhues, “The shareholders and I thank Christian Stickl for his efforts and his committed work over the last four years. Along with a leading position in flight technology-certified camera systems, Kappa has at its disposal further outstanding portfolio products, such as those in the field of panoramic view systems for vehicles. We will continue to expand our unique selling point: outstanding image quality for intuitive and secure operation. Kappa optronics represents minimal latency under the harshest possible environmental conditions.”
