Triveni Digital Accelerates Innovation with Juniper Networks Partner Solution Development Platform

Digital Television Analysis and Monitoring Industry Leader Joins Open IP Solution Development Program

(PresseBox) (SUNNYVALE,Calif., )
Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR), the leader in high-performance networking, today announced that Triveni Digital, Inc., a leading provider of digital signal monitoring and analysis solutions and subsidiary of LG Electronics (LGE), has joined the Juniper Networks Open IP Solution Development Program (OSDP). As a member of the OSDP, Juniper Networks provides Triveni Digital with access to the Partner Solution Development Platform (PSDP) that enables customers and partners to develop specialized applications on its best-in-class JUNOS® software.

The PSDP provides Triveni Digital with a powerful set of resources, including a software development kit (SDK) with intelligent and secure interfaces to JUNOS routing and service functions, and technical and business support. The SDK allows applications to utilize JUNOS features to create a more compelling integrated solution. By building on top of JUNOS software, customers and partners can save time and expenses in application development, deployment and in on-going operation costs.

Triveni Digital plans to use the SDK to integrate its StreamScope(TM) video monitoring solution with Juniper Networks JUNOS software to enable deep MPEG analysis for application on Juniper Networks high-performance edge routers. The aim is to help service providers quickly identify video quality issues at multiple packet layers in both IPTV and RF video networks. The embedded real-time network application is expected to simplify operations, while delivering an enhanced level of customer satisfaction through improved responsiveness and service quality. The StreamScope JUNOS application will be designed to work seamlessly with existing standalone StreamScope deployments, bringing all the benefits of Triveni Digital's system-wide monitoring and troubleshooting architecture.

"Coming from a heritage of innovation, we pride ourselves in partnering with companies who share the same objectives of providing flexible, scalable and best-in-class solutions that give customers a strong competitive advantage," said Mark Simpson, president and CEO, Triveni Digital, Inc. "By integrating our StreamScope technology and JUNOS software using the PSDP, Juniper and Triveni Digital will enable our common customers to provide the highest quality of video services more reliably and with a higher scalability."

The inherent security and stability of JUNOS software, combined with its modular architecture and single-source code, provides a proven foundation for delivering best-in-class performance, with an attractive total cost of ownership. With continuous systems availability, intelligence and automated operations efficiency, JUNOS software offers providers a unique view of the services and network availability their customers require, which helps them to deliver an enhanced user experience.

"We're pleased to be partnering with Triveni Digital, who offers an extensive array of video experience and video signal management solutions, which when integrated with JUNOS, will enable our customers to deliver the highest quality video experience," said Manoj Leelanivas, senior vice president and general manager of the Edge Aggregation Business Unit, Juniper Networks. "The powerful combination of our customers' and partners' unique expertise with the high-performance JUNOS software will continue to accelerate the pace of innovation in our industry and our customers' business models."
