What: At the Broadband World Forum Europe 2007, Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR), the leader in high-performance networking, will showcase its portfolio of high-performance networking solutions for the delivery of advanced network services such as IPTV and other multiplay services. JUNOS(tm) software, Juniper's proven, feature-rich operating system, will also be featured as the single code train that powers its core, edge and enterprise routing families. Juniper Networks' CEO and Chairman, Scott Kriens, will also feature in the conference program at this year's event.
Juniper Networks and Packet Vision will jointly showcase a targeted advertising service demonstration whereby generic commercials are dynamically replaced by ads targeted at different geographic and/or demographic groups of subscribers. A Packet Vision PV1000 platform, which provides ad server, splicer and play-out router functionality, works in conjunction with Juniper Networks E-series Broadband Services Routers to leverage its advanced networking functionality. Such targeted advertising services offer new opportunities to advertisers and new revenue streams for IPTV service providers and broadcasters.
Juniper Networks T1600 Core Router has been chosen as a finalist at this year's Infovision Awards, in the "Networks Innovation and Advances" category. The Infovision awards ceremony is part of the Broadband World Forum and will take place on Tuesday, October 9 at 11.30 a.m.
