His more than 30 years of experience and know-how in the area of precision optics have defined the Schneider Kreuznach brand. In 1994, he joined Schneider Optics Inc., the US subsidiary of Jos. Schneider Optische Werke GmbH in Bad Kreuznach, Germany. During his ten years as Technical Director, he supervised lens production in the areas of industrial optics, consumer optics, film and digital projection as well as filters for the motion picture and television industry. Singer has been Vice President of Schneider Optics Inc. since 2005.
Members of SPIE who have performed outstanding work in the field of optics are appointed to the exclusive circle of Senior Members. “It is like being accepted into the ‛Hall of Fame’ of optics,” said Singer on being given the accolade.
SPIE was founded in 1955. The society serves more than 225,600 members in some 150 countries. Every year, it organizes and supports around 25 important conferences, exhibitions and training programs around the world. SPIE currently has 320 Senior Members.
