Photo exhibition “SKATEBOARDING.3D” at SCHNEIDER KREUZNACH

(PresseBox) (Bad Kreuznach, )
Jos. Schneider Optische Werke GmbH presents “SKATEBOARDING.3D”, a photo art exhibition with work by Sebastian Denz. It is open from 3 pm to 6 pm every Sunday between 24 January and 21 February.

To create his series of large-format photographs that won the 20th International BFF Promotion Award in 2008, Sebastian Denz inhabited the urban world of skateboarders. Using a stereo camera for 8 x 10 inch negatives developed specifically for this purpose, he has created palpable, hyperreal 3D spaces. “Three-dimensional pictures are the future of both cinema and photography. Sebastian Denz’s work not only reveals perfect workmanship, it stands out above all due to its high artistic quality,” says Peter Lebeda, Corporate Design Manager at Schneider-Kreuznach and organizer of the event. Following the exhibition, the company will purchase a piece of work to add to its collection in the “SK Gallery”.

Sebastian Denz was born in 1974 in Grossburgwedel in Germany. He studied Photography and Fine Arts at the University of Applied Sciences in Hanover, graduating from the University of Applied Sciences in Bielefeld with a Master of Arts. His large-format stereo photographs of the urban skateboarder scene have been shown at the Robert Morat Galleries in Hamburg, Dada Post in Berlin and the Sara Tecchia gallery in New York.

The exhibition is being held in the headquarters of Jos. Schneider Optische Werke, in Ringstrasse 132, Bad Kreuznach. Entrance is free.
