The Managing Partners, members of the Advisory Board and CEO agreed to not continue the contract, which is scheduled to expire on December 31, 2019. As an optical technology expert, Dr. Kessler has realigned the group and brought about considerable changes in the past four years. These include above all focusing on industrial optics and cine optics, repositioning the sales organization and development department internationally, as well as modernizing production and supply chain management.

Schneider-Kreuznach intends to continue this strategic focus in future. “Dr. Kessler took over the group in a difficult phase and has given it a new direction. We would like to express our sincere thanks for his commitment and constructive cooperation. At the same time, we wish him all the best for his future challenges,” said Dr. Walther Neussel, Chairman of the Advisory Board of Jos. Schneider Optische Werke GmbH.

Until a new CEO has been announced, the company will be managed on an interim basis by authorized signatories Heiko Kober (Finance), Dirk Christian (Production), and Frank Jocham (Supply Chain Management).
