Anti-shading lens – new industrial optics for 3D measurement from SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH

The new APO Xenoplan 2.0/24: Optimised for 4 megapixel 1.3" CCD sensors with micro-lenses

(PresseBox) (Bad Kreuznach, )
With its new APO Xenoplan 2.0/24, Schneider-Kreuznach is expanding its industrial optics product range in time for Vision 2008. The new high-resolution lens was especially developed for 3D measurement and traffic engineering. It features homogenous brightness control, a large capture area and short focal length.

The focal length of 24 mm, the iris in the range from 2.0 to 16 and the broadband coating from 400 to 1000 nm make this a very versatile lens for industrial applications. Innovative optics are especially effective at preventing shading on the sensor, which is a clear advantage for measurement applications in particular. The C-Mount lens was developed for 4 megapixel 1.3 inch CCDs with micro-lenses. It features a large capture area with short focal length at small working distances. At the same time, the image circle of 24 mm is very large for a compact C-Mount lens.

This high-performance lens is especially robust and largely unsusceptible to harsh conditions for outstanding performance, even in industrial environments. This lens comes with securely lockable iris and focus settings as standard features.
