In future Jenoptik provides all sensor technologies.
With the new TraffiStar S350 laser scanner system, Jenoptik's Traffic Solutions division will complete the range of stationary speed measurement and red light monitoring systems in autumn this year. A prototype will be shown at Intertraffic. Involving no contact, the laser can be used to record the position, direction, speed and size of moving and stationary objects. A wide-range laser beam surveys a plane parallel to the road lane surface, covering the entire area to be monitored.
With the new laser scanner system, Jenoptik will be the only supplier in the world to offer all sensor technologies used in modern traffic monitoring: i.e. laser scanners, radar, piezo technology and induction loops. Consequently, the ideal and most economical solution can be provided for all customer specifications. It is envisaged to use the scanning laser measurement system in future as a combined red light monitoring and speed measurement system. Also, the camera-laser scanner unit is to be available for mobile applications such as tripod use or in a measuring vehicle.
In addition to products and components tailored to customer requirements around the world, the division is also presenting its comprehensive range of services, known as Traffic Service Provision. This part of the Jenoptik division unites all the services - from module to processes for complete traffic monitoring without investment by the client or additional staffing requirements.
