Jenoptik joint venture in Israel receives first volume order after its formation

Joint venture JENOPTIK OptiSys Ltd. to assemble and test medical imaging systems for preventive diagnostics for key player in ophthalmologic instrumentation systems

(PresseBox) (Jena, )
Jenoptik's Optical Systems division and Dagesh F.K., Ltd. jointly announce that their joint venture JENOPTIK OptiSys Ltd. has won a first volume order for assembly and test of medical imaging systems for preventive diagnostics from an international leader in ophthalmologic medical instrumentation after successfully completing shipment of a qualifying prototype series. The assembly and test work will be performed in the facility of Jenoptik OptiSys in northern Israel.

"This volume order was received earlier than expected after the formation of the joint venture in 2009 and was a consistent step along our internationalization strategy. It is therefore a major milestone proving the concept to provide module and system level solutions to hightech customers in Israel with the benefit of being close to customers as a local partner" said Dr. Dirk Rothweiler, Executive Vice President of Jenoptik's Optical Systems division.

Kobi Franken, chairman of Dagesh F.K. added: "We are delighted that we could prove our assembly and testing capabilities to a key player in medical instrumentation, and we are ready to deliver the high volume our customer expects after the ongoing market launch of this innovative medical instrument."
