Die lange bewährten Metallbalgkupplungen der Baureihen ‚KG‘ und ‚MKG‘ von JAKOB Antriebstechnik verfügen über brünierte Naben, welche einen verbesserten Rostschutz und höhere Widerstandsfähigkeit gegen Umgebungseinflüsse bieten. Bei dieser Art der Oberflächenveredelung handelt es sich nicht um eine aufliegende Schicht wie beispielsweise beim Vernickeln, Verchromen oder Lackieren, sondern um eine chemische Reaktion mit dem Material. Durch die Substrat-Umwandlung werden Abmessungen und Toleranzen des Bauteils nicht verändert.

Die Kupplungen sind für Drehmomentbereiche von 5 Nm (MKG) bis 3000 Nm (KG) erhältlich. Sie können bei Temperaturen von -40°C bis +350°C eingesetzt werden.

Alternativ sind die Metallbalgkupplung unter der Bezeichnung ‚KG-VA‘ und ‚MKG-VA‘ auch in Edelstahlausführung erhältlich.
