Die Lehrgänge Vakuumtechniker bestehen aus einem zweistufigen Modulkonzept und finden ihren Abschluss mit dem Titel „Geprüfter Vakuum-Techniker“. Vakuumtechnik-Seminare gibt es in drei Varianten mit aufbauendem Lehrinhalt; die Varianten I und II dauern jeweils einen Tag. Variante III richtet sich an den speziell festzulegenden Bedürfnissen des Kunden aus.
Als Lehr- und Lernmaterial für die eigenen Lehrgänge, Schulungen und Seminare sowie für den externen Gebrauch an Fachschulen, Hochschulen, Bildungseinrichtungen und Ausbildungszentren stehen zum einen das Schmalz Vakuum-Training-Set, zum anderen das Lernplakat „Funktionsprinzipien und Schaltsymbole der Vakuum-Technik“ zur Verfügung. Während mit dem Vakuum-Training-Set Musteranwendungen aufgebaut werden können, dient das Plakat zur visuellen Information und Vermittlung von praxisbezogenem Fachwissen direkt am Arbeitsplatz.
Zielgruppen für die Schmalz-Academy zum Themenkomplex Vakuumtechnik sind Betriebs- und Produktionsfachleute, Konstrukteure, Monteure, Instandhalter und Servictechniker sowie das Ausbildungswesen.
