The signs are equally positive for the current financial year. After a good first quarter, the Executive Board expressed their confidence that the planned performance figures for 2013 will be achieved, with revenue of € 45 million. Executive Board member Dr Helmut Bergstein explained the good market opportunities of IVU as "due to the close contacts with customers and the sector, which helps us to recognise new topics at an early stage and to react appropriately." A positive example of this is the great success of the Regio-RBL solution for passenger information services in rural areas, which has now been installed successfully by the Transport Associations in Stuttgart and Bremen/Lower Saxony. "But we are also able to convince above all with our short project times for the implementation of our products," continued Helmut Bergstein. Internationally, the company has successfully acquired new projects in Vietnam, Hungary, Colombia and also in Mongolia.
There was special applause for Bergstein when he showed the UITP Award to the shareholders. This "Oscar of the transport sector," as he proudly referred to it, was awarded to IVU last week at the UITP World Congress, the most important international public transport congress and exhibition. The award was given in recognition of the introduction in London of the dynamic passenger information system with IVU.realtime and in particular for the innovative integration of cloud technologies.
"In recent years we have followed the right trends," was the conclusion of Martin Müller-Elschner, CEO of IVU AG. "Our IVU.suite has developed into a strong standard product range which is not only doing well internationally, but has also opened up many new development opportunities for the domestic market. On this basis we will also continue to grow in the coming years."
