PEGELONLINE: 420 Mio. Zugriffe pro Jahr - Fachverfahren des ITZBund beeindruckt mit hohen Zahlen an Zugriffen und Nutzenden

Das Informationssystem der Wasserstraßen- und Schifffahrtsverwaltung des Bundes (WSV) PEGELONLINE verzeichnete 2020 ca. 420 Millionen Zugriffe. Umgerechnet sind dies 13 Zugriffe pro Sekunde.

Über die Webanwendung PEGELONLINE veröffentlicht die WSV kostenfrei gewässerkundliche Informationen zu Binnen- und Küstenpegeln der Bundeswasserstraßen. Das ITZBund betreibt das Fachverfahren für die WSV. Nicht nur bei Hochwasser bietet PEGELONLINE einen wichtigen Service für die kommerzielle wie private Schifffahrt, Katastrophenstäbe und Einsatzkräfte in Bund und Ländern, Forschungseinrichtungen, Kommunen, Kanuvereine, Medien sowie interessierte Bürgerinnen und Bürger.

Mehrere Webdienste können die Mess- und Pegelstammdaten beziehen und in eigene Applikationen integrieren. Mittlerweile ist PEGELONLINE in mehr als 20 Apps eingebunden. Aktuelle PEGELONLINE-Wasserstände können auch über die Amazon-Sprachassistentin Alexa in mehreren Skills angesagt werden.

Die Zugriffe erfolgen überwiegend als Webservicezugriffe. Dies belegt die gute technische Vernetzung von PEGELONLINE über Webseiten und Applikationen Dritter.
