iTernity Joins HPE Complete Program

New resell agreement empowers Hewlett Packard Enterprise customers to acquire leading software-defined archiving solutions directly from HPE

(PresseBox) (Freiburg, )
iTernity, the leader in software-defined archiving solutions, today announced it has joined the HPE Complete program. As one of a select few HPE Complete vendors, iTernity’s participation in HPE Complete gives customers and partners the ability to leverage the industry’s leading data management and archiving platform to ensure integrity, availability and compliance of their data assets in combination with HPE servers and storage products.

The HPE Complete program offers a one-stop shop for purchasing best-in-class products that complement HPE storage and server solutions – all with the added dependability of HPE’s interoperability assurance validation. Complete interoperability validation from HPE for iTernity Compliant Archive Software (iCAS) means that customers of iTernity can now tap into the HPE ecosystem to minimize the risks, complexities and costs that can otherwise accompany multi-vendor technology deployments—especially as IT environments transition to more secure, converged infrastructure.

iCAS provides a secure and highly scalable archive and long-term data retention platform for many leading enterprise applications across physical, virtual and cloud environments. Designed to work seamlessly with HPE 3PAR StoreServ Storage and HPE Apollo systems, iCAS provides legally compliant data storage repositories that enable IT teams to comply with regulatory requirements for their data assets within ever-evolving infrastructures.

“By deepening our relationship with HPE, we’re adding another dynamic resell partner to the extensive team of experts ready to serve our customers, engage our prospects and empower our channel partners with superior end-to-end solutions,” said Ralf Steinemann, CEO of iTernity. “HPE is an established leader across all key infrastructure domains, making this a valuable proposition for the entire enterprise IT community.”

iTernity and its partners are committed to delivering unparalleled flexibility and scalability for data archiving solutions to both leading IT organizations and IT service providers. Together, HPE and iTernity are providing a secure and proven solution for the preservation and legally compliant storage of enterprise data assets.

“Digital archiving—particularly for legal and regulatory compliance— can pose challenges for customers with dynamic and ever-evolving IT environments,” said Marty Lans, senior director of storage connectivity and interoperability at HPE. “The iTernity iCAS software, combined with HPE storage, delivers an extensible long-term archiving solution to help customers affordably overcome these challenges. We are excited for our customers to deploy this combined solution for the flexibility, scalability and long-term cost benefits it will bring.”

Why Compliant Archiving?

Adhering to regulatory requirements is vital for enterprises in all industries and markets, as regulatory bodies have increased controls and penalties, including steep fines and legal actions for non-compliance. In the last 10 years, organizations have been striving to adhere to numerous compliance regulations in data archiving, e.g. HIPAA, GxP, SOX, SEC 17a-4, Dodd-Frank. Many of these regulations require them to implement solutions for immutable storing, logging and audit trails.

“We are excited that now HPE customers can easily acquire the integrated solutions and benefit from the most flexible data compliance solution in the market. Combining HPE servers and storage products with iTernity´s compliance and archiving software iCAS extends the functional range of HPE´s solutions and enables customers in regulated markets to implement a future-proof solution that meets their wide-ranging requirements,” said Georg Csajkas, Director Product Management at iTernity.
