Ein Scheck über 750,00 € überreichte die Geschäftsführung der itacom GmbH kurz vor Weihnachten 2014 dem AWO Kinder- und Jugendheim Haus Engelhardt in Strehla. Die Spende stammt aus der letztjährigen Weihnachts-Spendenaktion von itacom. Im November wurde für jeden erfolgreich abgeschlossenen Kaufvertrag jeweils ein Euro in die Spendenkasse gelegt. Partner und Kunden des oschatzer Technologiespezialisten konnten sich beteiligen, indem sie die Facebook-Seite der itacom GmbH sowie die des itacom CRM mit "Gefällt mir" anklickten. itacom stockte das Spendengeld am Ende der Aktion auf 750,00 € auf. Das Kinderheim nutzt die Spende für einen in diesem Jahr geplanten Fußballplatz.
Beim Besuch der Weihnachtsfeier des Kinderheims konnte sich die Geschäftsführung der itacom GmbH davon überzeugen, dass das gespendete Geld an der richtigen Stelle eingesetzt wird. Damit unterstreicht itacom sein Engagement in der Region.

Die itacom GmbH wurde 1990 als EDV-Kundendienst gegründet. 1993 fand die Umfirmierung in C & K Hagemeister statt. Im darauffolgendem Jahr erfolgte der Umzug in das sächsische Oschatz - ab dem Zeitpunkt der Hauptsitz des Unternehmens. Den heutigen Namen bekam die Firma 2004: itacom - IT and Communication.
