iTAC Software AG: productronica meets “effective production“

Manufacturing Execution System (MES) provider presents new functions and an overview of current market developments

(PresseBox) (Dernbach, )
The Munich Exhibition Centre will be dedicated to innovative electronics products again between November 15 and 18. iTAC Software’s concept for this year’s fair focuses on effective production. It is exhibiting at the 19th productronica at Stand 135 in Hall A3. Visitors to the stand can find information about current developments, technologies and trends in the MES market segment.

One of iTAC’s key themes at the trade fair is the presentation of the new iTAC.MES.Suite 7 functions. Three new function blocks have been integrated or upgraded: CAQ (Computer Aided Quality), APS (Advanced Planning & Scheduling) and AO (Add-on). For example, the APS Service is a central module for the analysis, planning, simulation and optimisation of business processes in digital factories.

In addition to product highlights such as standardised SMT equipment integration, the experts on the stand will also be talking to visitors about topics such as “iTAC.MES.Suite 7 in the cloud” and factory mapping. Longstanding and reputed customers such as Limtronik and Gigaset will be providing examples of successful concepts in practice for companies ranging in size from SME to large-scale corporations. iTAC will also be providing a preview of iTAC.MES.Suite 7 Release 7.10 at the fair.

Changes in the MES sector – migration concepts

Visitors can also get an exclusive insight into current market developments including an the chance to “take advantage of the opportunities associated with change in our sector !” As a number of providers are currently withdrawing from the MES market, iTAC has experienced higher demand for migration concepts to its MES solution. Special Java Enterprise Connectors and efficient migration concepts facilitate the seamless migration of existing MES solutions to the iTAC.MES.Suite 7.

Dieter Meuser, CTO of iTAC Software AG explained, “Many manufacturing execution system providers have failed to make the necessary technology upgrades. These days, a good MES is far more than just a traceability tool. Functions such as quality management, operational and machine data acquisition etc., as well as strategic IT concepts such as SaaS and cloud computing, are playing an increasingly significant role in the MES market. Our migration concepts are the answer to MES market developments. In conjunction with cloud-based concepts, they are also a viable solution for smaller-sized enterprises to achieve streamlined, cost efficient and high quality processes.”
