In the past, equipment manufacturers performed complex tests on their interfaces to manufacturing execution systems (MES) using decentralised test systems and often, to do this, MES infrastructure components had to shipped across borders. Now there is a far more convenient solution. iTAC Software AG delivers the benefits of its cloud-based MES to equipment manufacturers and system integrators. The customer test systems can now be operated from a Fujitsu data centre and deployed for one-off projects or as part of a global roll out of the iTAC.MES.Suite 7. The operation of production systems using this infrastructure is already possible.

Electronic and mechatronic component suppliers to automotive and medical equipment manufacturers have to comply with tighter product liability requirements which necessitates the implementation of a database-based traceability solution. Until now, the equipment integration was often expensive and performed under extreme time pressure. For example, if problems occurred in connection with the integration of an equipment module from Korea when commissioning a final assembly line in Mexico, this meant considerable time and productivity losses. Now the Korean equipment manufacturer can test its interfaces using the iTAC cloud-based MES in advance and ship the equipment to Mexico with a plug & play interface.
