(PresseBox) (Montabaur, )
Industry 4.0, the basis for networking production processes, is shaking up the world. The Federal Government and companies are working together to ensure that Germany plays a key role in this construct. Tangible and practicable Industry 4.0 solutions have been implemented by the SME initiative "Smart Electronic Factory" since 2014. These culminated on October 15 in a registered association. At the opening ceremony for the new premises of iTAC Software AG at ICE-Park Montabaur, seven members undersigned the establishment of the Smart Electronic Factory e.V. association.

The German government regards Industry 4.0 and digitisation as being one of the core structuring tasks for the next few years. Especially for Germany as a production location, this is a crucial issue for the future where international competition is concerned.

Consequently, the Montabaur-based MES provider iTAC Software AG, together with Limtronik GmbH from Limburg a. d. Lahn, established the Smart Electronic Factory in 2014. This is an Industry 4.0 evaluation environment which is integrated into the live production processes at Limtronik, an EMS service provider. Various software and hardware manufacturers, together with university facilities, are actively involved in the association, and have joined up to establish an Industry 4.0 SME initiative. Seven of the participants undersigned the launch of Smart Electronic Factory e.V. on October 15.

Members of the Smart Electronic Factory e.V. association are the Technical University of Central Hesse (represented by Professor Gerrit Sames, lecturer), in-integrierte informationssysteme GmbH (represented by Siegfried Wagner, CEO), Limtronik GmbH (represented by Gerd Ohl and Anjou Appelt, CEOs), DUALIS GmbH IT Solution (represented by Heike Wilson, CEO), proALPHA Business Solutions GmbH (represented by Michael Finkler, Business Development), iTAC Software AG (represented by Dieter Meuser, CTO) and Fuji Machine MFG Europe GmbH (represented by Klaus Gross, CEO).
