Das iSQI wird innerhalb dieses Netzwerkes gemeinsam mit Unternehmen und Forschungseinrichtungen den Ausbildungsstandard „international Certified Professional for IT Security Management“ entwickeln. Dadurch soll das Know-how-Niveau von Software-Entwicklern, Sicherheitsbeauftragten, Beratern im Wach- und Personenschutz sowie Katastrophenmanagern beim Einsatz von Informationstechnik verbessert werden.
„Der Bedarf an Sicherheitstechnologien ist in den vergangenen Jahren rasant gewachsen. Gerade in Berlin und Brandenburg verfügen viele Unternehmen und Forschungseinrichtungen über außerordentliche Kompetenzen in diesem Bereich. Gemeinsam wollen wir nun einen Ausbildungsstandard entwickeln, der für sicherheitsrelevante Berufe schon bald international maßgebend sein wird“, betont iSQI-Geschäftsführer Stephan Goericke.
Das International Software Quality Institute (iSQI GmbH) entwickelt international anerkannte, unabhängige Personal-Zertifizierungs-Standards für Berufe im Software-Qualitätsbereich und arbeitet aktiv in internationalen Organisation wie der ISO mit. Das iSQI ist mit jährlich weit über 1000 Prüfungen Deutschlands führender Personalzertifizierer im Bereich Software-Qualität. Daneben zertifiziert das Institut in 30 weiteren Ländern auf 4 Kontinenten. Die Vorteile der Personal-Zertifizierung für Unternehmen liegen vor allem in der gesicherten, vergleichbaren Qualifikation der Mitarbeiter auch über Länder- und Sprachgrenzen hinweg.
Zudem veranstaltet das iSQI jährlich über 160 praxisorientierte Seminare zu Software-Qualitäts-Themen. Vom 26. bis 28. September 2007 veranstaltet iSQI die 10. international Conference on Quality Engineering in Software Technology (CONQUEST) zusammen mit der EuroSPI2 als Doppelkonferenz in Potsdam.
