iPass Inc. (NASDAQ: IPAS), a global provider of services that unify the management of enterprise mobility, announced that Nick Hulse has joined the iPass executive team as senior vice president of worldwide sales. Hulse's expertise spans sales, operations and marketing, and over his career he has built strong distribution and professional services programs that have delivered exceptional results for a number of software and services companies.

Before joining iPass, Hulse was executive vice president, worldwide field operations, for Tumbleweed Communications, a leader in secure Internet communication solutions with more than 4,000 worldwide enterprise customers. At Tumbleweed he was instrumental in growing its customer base by expanding into new vertical and market segments and developing new international territories.

Prior to Tumbleweed, Hulse was responsible for leading and integrating the Exchange Hosted Services (EHS) sales organization at Microsoft. Prior to Microsoft, Hulse was senior vice president of sales for FrontBridge Technologies, a managed messaging services company which was sold to Microsoft in 2005 for more than $200 million. Under Hulse's leadership, the company grew to more than 5,000 customers in 36 months, with revenues in excess of $75 million.

"I am especially pleased to welcome Nick to iPass as the final addition to our dynamic, new senior leadership team. Over the past six months, we have brought in five exceptionally talented executives who have demonstrated the ability to deliver phenomenal results over their careers," said Evan Kaplan, president and chief executive officer, iPass. "Behind their leadership, the company is moving well down the road to deliver on the new strategy I articulated in March, to reinvigorate iPass and meet the evolving needs of our customers for new mobility solutions."

Earlier in his career, Hulse also served as general manager/senior vice president, North America for Cybertek Holdings, a Korean-based provider of security, authentication and intrusion-detection products; vice president of marketing, products and channel sales at Epoch Internet, one of the largest, privately-held ISPs at the time; and has held executive positions with ARIS Corporation, an e-business consulting company, and New Horizons Computer Learning Centers.
