The specialists from Innominate in Berlin will present the current status of their industrial security technologies with appliances from the new product lines (the mGuard Field Line and the mGuard Factory Line), which have been available since the third quarter of 2011. Future-proof components, including modern embedded processors and trusted platform modules (TPMs), as well as perfected firmware, are united in these products, which are leading solutions for network security in Industrial Ethernet LANs and for secure remote connections via Internet and virtual private networks (VPNs). The Easy Initial Setup procedure and the use of SD cards to apply firmware and configurations ensure easy start-up and efficient rollout of the devices.
Thanks to these characteristics, the new security appliances also perfectly interact with the mGuard Remote Services portal that is now online. Innominate has taken advantage of the cloud computing trend to provide a secure remote service infrastructure as an easy-to-use Internet service with comprehensive configuration service and support. The portal allows up-to-date remote maintenance via the Internet with protected VPN connections to machines, plants and service workstations. It does not require a long learning curve or investments in a central infrastructure.
Particularly for OEMs, Innominate also offers its mGuard technology in the form of embedded hardware and software modules for integration into their own products and systems that require secure networking. With the mGuard core² module, an mGuard security appliance serves as a miniaturized embedded assembly unit with plug-in connectors for all relevant signals. Alternatively, with its "HyperSecured" concept, Innominate allows the pure software integration of mGuard technology as a virtual device based on appropriate hypervisors. Both modules are currently unique on the industrial market in their respective specifications.
