We are targeting entrepreneurs from (but not limited to) Israel, Finland and the German speaking countries, due to our strong network in these areas.
Accelerator Frankfurt is an international four-month program offering startups mentoring, coaching, office space and professional services in excess of 40,000€ per startup. We accept web entrepreneurs past the idea stage and the potential to scale internationally. The program focuses on startups from FinTech, RegTech, InsureTech, Cybersecurity & WebTech.

Recent Compass Global Startup Ecosystem report shows that for a successful vibrant ecosystem: funding, market reach, talent, government support and startup experience are needed. Accelerator Frankfurt’s founder and Managing Director Ram Shoham did an extensive research 2015, including interviews with relevant stakeholders. The research revealed that Frankfurt possessed most qualities except one; a good mix of accelerators. In other major startup ecosystems, like Stockholm, London, Helsinki and Tel Aviv, Mr. Shoham found that accelerators are a vital contributor to the success of the ecosystem.
“Frankfurt has all the ingredients to build a strong startup ecosystem: high quality universities, government support, good infrastructure and strong investors. The only thing missing are the accelerators to help startups flourish.” says Ram Shoham Founder and Managing Director of Accelerator Frankfurt.
Accelerator Frankfurt was founded autumn 2015 by Ram Shoham who saw a clear market need for an independent accelerator program for the banking capital of Europe. Based on his research he knew what is needed to create a successful startup ecosystem. His experience from the startup nation Israel and long corporate experience from Amsterdam, Hong Kong and Shanghai made him confident that Frankfurt has all the ingredients to become a major startup hub. The co-founder Maria Pennanen, an angel investor and startup consultant joined early 2016 to complement the program with her network and experience in investing and consulting to MNC’s, SME’s and startups in Germany and Finland.
