Annual Vendor Summit takes vendor partners on path for 'Ingramental' growth
A growing number of Leaders from the Vendor Community and Ingram Micro's Europe and Country management teams, have convened in Budapest to discuss the state of the industry and to agree on effective market strategies in pursuit of profitable growth and business diversification.
Alain Maquet, President of Ingram Micro Europe, said, "We are delighted to be bringing the Ingram Micro Vendors Summit to Budapest for the fourth consecutive time now. We have been hosting well over hundred senior executives from our vendors who have come to dedicate two-full days of think time to build go-to-market plans. We have held nearly 600 vendor and country meetings and agreed on strategies to further develop our industry and bring more growth to the channel and the technology sector as a whole. This event has been a success and it is a confirmation of the alignment between the Vendors' objectives and Ingram Micro's strategy and its strengths in the enablement of the SMB channel around the Advanced Solutions and emerging new technologies."
During the Summit kickoff, Maquet outlined Ingram Micro Europe's plans to continue to strengthen our Core business and at the same time accelerate growth and diversify our business model, highlighting our investment plans in the following areas: Mobility, Advanced Solution and Cloud Services, ProAV/Digital Signage, DC/POS , IM Logistics and SMB.
Vincenzo Baggio, SVP Vendor Management IM EMEA continued, "We are impressed with all delegates' focus on partnership - there is no doubt there will be many specific actions coming from this summit that will enable our reseller partners grow profitably by diversifying their business into new technology areas and pursuing new end-user market opportunities.
