Mobile World Congress 2015: Infotecs as an Expert in IT Security for Mobile Corporate CommunicationsBerlin, )
In March 2-5, 2015, more than 93,000 visitors from 200 countries attended the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, the world's largest and most important mobile communication event. Over 2,000 exhibitors, including mobile operators, equipment suppliers, software developing companies, Internet providers and exhibitors in healthcare, finance, industry and automotive presented their products and solutions at Fira Gran Via, Barcelona.
Along with the brand new mobile devices and technologies - from mobile payment services to smart watches, fitness trackers, and 3D glasses that plunge you into the virtual reality via innovative smartphones with a curved display - the Congress focused on the increasing digitalization of society and the Internet of Things. The benefits of mobile networking products and services that simplify your daily life were demonstrated to visitors of the biggest event in the mobile industry. Furthermore, concepts and solutions were presented, which showed for example merging the landline network with cellular technology.
Infotecs consulted visitors of the exhibition on data and IT security for mobile devices. Together with the partner company Research Institute of Complex Security Systems, Infotecs presented a collaborative solution to protect corporate mobile communication: SafePhone Plus - ViPNet & VoIP. This Mobile Device Management solution enables companies to securely access sensitive data on the corporate network over encrypted channel via a smartphone, tablet, etc.
Finally, security experts from Infotecs announced that soon the new product ViPNet Connect will be launched. This new innovative software will ensure secure and encrypted communication between mobile and/or stationary devices over a secure VPN. In addition to protected voice and video calls, there will be an integrated chat function.
ViPNet technology is the core of all ViPNet solutions and products. Data exchange is performed directly without processing on a server, thus mobile communication is protected against connection loss and unauthorized access.
"Communication via smartphone and tablet offers tremendous potential and has become indispensable in the business world. However, wide use of mobile devices provides cyber criminals more and more targets for data espionage. It is therefore imperative that mobile access to sensitive company data is secure and encrypted," said Sergej Torgow, COO of Infotecs GmbH. "The Mobile World Congress has once again given us the opportunity to attract a large number of visitors to our IT security solutions."
