26. Juli: Energiegipfel Mainfranken-Tauberfranken

Die Energiewende ist in vollem Gang. Die Bundesregierung setzt auf regenerative Energien, vor allem aus den windreichen Gebieten Nord- und Ostdeutschlands. Um die Versorgung der Industrieunternehmen mit hohem Energiebedarf im Süden mit bezahlbarem Strom zu sichern und damit die Standortattraktivität in Baden-Württemberg und Bayern zu erhalten, ist aus Sicht der Wirtschaft ein zügiger Netzausbau zwingend notwendig. Durch regionale Widerstände und neue politische Beschlüsse ist der bundesweite Netzausbauprozess allerdings ins Stocken geraten.

Der SuedLink, die Hochspannungs-Stromtrasse von Nord nach Süd, wird voraussichtlich erst Jahre nach dem Abschalten der letzten Kernkraftwerke Isar 2 und Neckarwestheim 2 im Jahr 2022 in Betrieb gehen. Die IHK Würzburg-Schweinfurt und die IHK Heilbronn-Franken sehen daher eine nennenswerte Versorgungslücke auf Süddeutschland und die Region Mainfranken zukommen. Wie die Versorgungssicherheit in der Region bis 2025 trotzdem gewährleistet werden kann, diskutieren der Präsident der Bundesnetzagentur Jochen Homann sowie die Staatssekretäre Dr. Andre Baumann (Baden-Württemberg) und Franz-Josef Pschierer (Bayern) auf dem Energiegipfel Mainfranken-Tauberfranken.
