Sommerzeit - Ferienjobzeit: Was Firmen wissen müssen

Viele Schüler nehmen Ferienjobs an, um ihr Taschengeld aufzubessern und gleichzeitig einen ersten Eindruck von der Arbeitswelt zu erhalten. Wichtig zu wissen ist hierbei, dass 13- und 14-jährige nur bis zu zwei Stunden pro Tag kleinere Jobs übernehmen dürfen. 15- bis 17-jährige dürfen in den Schulferien bis zu acht Stunden pro Arbeitstag arbeiten, höchstens jedoch 40 Stunden in der Woche und maximal 20 Arbeitstage im Jahr. Die Eltern müssen jeweils zustimmen.

Volljährige Schüler dürfen in den Ferien bis zu 70 Tage im Jahr oder drei Monate am Stück jobben. Alles was darüber hinausreicht, ist kein Ferienjob mehr. Grundsätzlich empfiehlt die IHK Saarland, einen schriftlichen Arbeitsvertrag abzuschließen.
