Mit dem VoIP-Plug-In bietet das Unternehmen IMG, Information Management GmbH aus Hannover, für alle Lotus Notes Anwender ein Zusatzfeature zum elektronischen Aufspüren von Telefonnummern an. VoIP-Plug-In ist ein sinnvolles Tool, um die tägliche Arbeit zu vereinfachen und effektiv zu gestalten.
Es gibt verschiedene Möglichkeiten der Kommunikation, um beispielsweise auf eine eingegangene E-Mail verbal zu antworten. Klassisch ist der Griff zum Telefonhörer. Doch hierzu muss der Anrufer die Nummer kennen, oder diese manuell aus der erhaltenen E-Mail bzw. aus einem elektronischen Adressbuch heraussuchen. Tippfehler beim manuellen Wählen der Nummer sind dabei nicht ausgeschlossen; das wiederum kostet Zeit und Nerven.
VoIP-Plug-In für Lotus Notes stellt für alle Anwender unter dem E-Mai- System IBM Lotus Notes eine Arbeitserleichterung dar. Diese ‚elektronische Spürnase‘ findet die Telefonnummer im Fließtext der erhaltenen E-Mail, oder sucht sie automatisch aus dem elektronischen Adressbuch heraus. Anschließend stellt die Software eine VoIP-Verbindung her, egal über welches Endgerät (Soft- oder Hardphone) der Anwender verfügt.
