Januar 2003 – Die aktuelle Studie „ÖPNV 2002: Liberalisierung und Kostendruck – Fluch oder Chance“ der Stuttgarter Unternehmensberatung ilas zeigt auf, wie sich die Unternehmen des Öffentlichen Personennahverkehrs (ÖPNV) strategisch und organisatorisch auf die bevorstehende Liberalisierung und Marktöffnung vorbereiten wollen. Vor allem Anbieter im schienengebundenen Verkehr, wo zunehmend Wettbewerb auf europäischer Ebene herrscht, sehen Handlungsbedarf in Reorganisation und Kostensenkung. Aber auch im straßengebundenen Verkehr werden Anpassungsmaßnahmen an die bevorstehende Liberalisierung angestrebt.
