Successful introduction of the VCPX5 at the WIRE exhibition 2014

With a new booth the company iiM AG presented its product portfolio of the brand VisioCablePro® as well as many new products, such as the cable measuring device VCPX5

From the 7th until the 11th April the business unit "cable measurement engineering" from iiM AG presented its products with a new exhibition booth concept at the WIRE 2014 - the international trade fair for wire and cable production and processing.

As in 2012, the iiM AG exhibition team was supported by its sales agents from Italy, Spain, Russia, Greece, Israel, China and South Africa.

At this year's WIRE not only the proven products from VisioCablePro®, but also new products were introduced. One of these innovations is the cable measuring device VCPX5. This measuring device was especially developed and designed for cable manufacturer's geometrical measuring requirements on insulations and cable sheaths. Due to the robust construction and the very easy operation, the VCPX5 is especially suited for use in production processes as a quick, accurate and secure measuring solution. A specialty of the device is its high resolution of up to 2µm, which easily enables measurements according to the standards IEC EN 60811-201; 202; 203 [previous version = IEC EN 60811-1-1]. The VCPX5 stands out due to its high measuring range flexibility. Cable samples with an outer diameter from 0 - 130mm can easily be measured automatically and quickly. The optimally pre-set optics as well as the pre-set sample illumination reduce the user influence to a minimum.

A perfect match for the VCPX5 is the new cable measuring software VCPEasy. Like the VCPX5, the software is structured clearly and in combination with the touch screen of the VCPX5, the operation is very easy and modern.

Furthermore iiM AG presented more new devices, such as the Twist Length Detector and new sample preparation tools, e.g. the Splitting Cutter SC-PE. The Splitting Cutter SC-PE - like the Splitting Cutter SC - is designed to prepare samples for the hot set test with a thickness of 0.8-2.0mm according to IEC EN 60811-501. However the SC-PE is especially for hard materials, which are e.g. used for medium voltage cables.
