HDMI interfaces for high resolution video transfer are becoming increasingly popular, outpacing former video standards that require separate ports for video and audio streams. HDMI provides an interface for both audio and video through one connector: a slim, standardized plug supporting digital video and digital multi-channel audio. The latest generation of the HDMI interface can also transmit bidirectional data streams. Producers of PCs, notebooks, tablets and HDTV television sets rely on the practical and multi-functional HDMI solution.
For visually lossless extension of HDMI signals, IHSE has launched a new extender range: the Draco vario HDMI extender series. The HDMI extenders are compatible with the Draco tera matrix series and are cross-compatible with the DVI extender series for video and USB-HID extension. Transfer of fully digital video signals (including 3D video) is supported in high resolution, including full-HD and 2K. HDMI cables with locking connectors provide for safe connections.
To account for the wide range of possible applications, IHSE offers HDMI extenders in numerous product variants. Redundant data links are available to increase system resilience. CPU Units include a local video output for a local control monitor and CON Units with local HDMI and USB-HID input offer local switching between a local CPU and the KVM connection. Various upgrades to extend other video standards and to convert analog signals are also available.
The full range of IHSE extenders including the Draco vario HDMI extender will be available for demonstration at IBC in Amsterdam, 13-17 September 2013.
