IHSE features high bandwidth Draco tera matrix switches with ExtremeUSB® extension technology at ISE 2015

(PresseBox) (Oberteuringen, )
Icron Technologies Corporation, a leader in USB and video extension technology, and IHSE, a leading provider of KVM products supporting long distance signal extenders, today announced a partnership to demonstrate IHSE's new high speed Draco tera matrix switching system extending USB 3.0 signals through Icron's USB 3.0 Spectra™ 3022 with ExtremeUSB® technology at the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) Show 2015.

IHSE's Draco tera KVM matrix switch features expanded bandwidth to enable real-time switching of vast amounts of data including 4K video at optimum image quality. High speed versions are now available in all existing sizes (8, 16, 32, 48, 64, 80, 160 and 288 ports) and can meet the highest performance demands. The higher bandwidth enables enormous transfer speeds, allowing seamless switching and real-time distribution of high resolution signals. Customers can choose port configurations of Cat X, fiber, or combination hybrid for maximum flexibility.

The USB 3.0 Spectra 3022 fiber extender is available from IHSE as either part of the Draco tera compact KVM matrix solution or as a stand-alone extender system. This robust USB 3.0 extender system is housed in a rugged aluminum chassis with two locking USB 3.0 ports and a locking power connector. The Spectra 3022 includes the ExtremeUSB suite of features such as transparent USB extension, true plug and play and compatibility with all major operating systems including Windows® 8.

"With a high bandwidth of 5Gbps and plug and play simplicity, USB 3.0 is quickly gaining traction in the ProAV industry," said Markus Drautz, Sales Director at IHSE. "Icron's USB 3.0 fiber extender is very complimentary to our Draco matrix series and it has opened up many new applications by allowing USB 3.0 to be extended over longer distances."

"USB 3.0 offers a significant throughput upgrade over USB 2.0," said Glenn Antonelli, Icron's Vice President of Marketing. "However, a distance limitation of approximately three meters can cause installation challenges. By adding the ExtremeUSB extender as part of the Draco matrix solution, IHSE's customers can enjoy a seamless user experience of 4K video with USB 3.0 at distances of up to 100 meters over fiber."

IHSE will demonstrate the Draco tera KVM matrix systems with USB 3.0 extension in ISE booth 10-R120 from February 10th to 12th at Amsterdam RAI in the Netherlands.
