Für das Mobiltelefon optimierte mobile Webseiten und Apps sind hervorragend als Marketing- und Kommunikationstools geeignet. Aber auch hier gibt es Abstufungen. Mobile Onlinelösungen bieten sich ganz besonders beim Verkauf von Produkten und als Bezahlmöglichkeit an. So bescheinigen neun von zehn Experten M-Payment (86 Prozent; Top-2-Box auf einer 5-Punkte-Skala) und etwa acht von zehn Couponing (83 Prozent) und mobilen Anwendungen zum Preisvergleich (81 Prozent) eine hervorragende bis gute Eignung für den mobilen Markt.
Schwerer tut sich momentan noch die Produktvermarktung. Weniger als die Hälfte der Befragten (48 Prozent; Top-2-Box auf einer 5-Punkte-Skala) sieht aktuell hervorragende bis gute Erfolgsaussichten für Werbung im mobilen Web und nur ein Drittel (33 Prozent) für eine erfolgreiche Markeninszenierung. Einerseits mehr Wissen um die Zielgruppe und andererseits technische Erneuerungen bei Endgeräten und Netzen lassen auch hier die Erfolgsaussichten steigen.
Was die Entwicklung im mobilen Markt angeht, so werden sich Apps und mobile Webseiten noch für eine geraume Zeit den mobilen Markt gleichwertig untereinander aufteilen. Für 2010 sehen die Experten bei diesem Kopf-an-Kopf-Rennen Apps mit 52 Prozent der Anwendungen im Mobilen Internet vorn (Mobile Webseiten: 48 Prozent). Bei einem größeren Zeithorizont von drei Jahren verschiebt sich die Aufteilung nur geringfügig in Richtung Mobile Webseiten (51 Prozent; Apps: 49 Prozent).
