A delegation of members of the prestigious Japanese entrepreneurs association Koken-Kai recently visited the industrial camera manufacturer IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH in Obersulm. The 74 members, all of whom are C-level executives, were led by Dr. Kenichi Ohmae. Dr. Ohmae is one of the five most important economic advisors in the world according to the international business magazine “The Economist”. The visit was part of a five day study tour through Germany visiting eminent, globally operating companies.
CEO Torsten Wiesinger welcomed the group at the company’s headquarters in Obersulm near Heilbronn and gave an overview of the company, its recent development as well as the strategic and operative focuses. Mr. Wiesinger also emphasized the diverse and innovative applications of industrial camera technology which consequently leads to a variety of new markets whether in industry or non-industrial fields. He also focused on IDS’ extensive product range – from Framegrabbers to USB 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet and the brand new and highly innovative USB 3.0 camera series. The visitors were particularly impressed by the mature and sophisticated IDS Software Site which has seen a continuous development since 1997 and today supports all IDS products – across all interfaces, series and platforms.
