CEO Torsten Wiesinger welcomed the group at the company’s headquarters in Obersulm near Heilbronn and gave an overview of the company, its recent development as well as the strategic and operative focuses. Mr. Wiesinger also emphasized the diverse and innovative applications of industrial camera technology which consequently leads to a variety of new markets whether in industry or non-industrial fields. He also focused on IDS’ extensive product range – from Framegrabbers to USB 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet and the brand new and highly innovative USB 3.0 camera series. The visitors were particularly impressed by the mature and sophisticated IDS Software Site which has seen a continuous development since 1997 and today supports all IDS products – across all interfaces, series and platforms.
‘This visit was an excellent opportunity to build new networks and to deepen our cooperation with the Japanese economy. We already celebrated an important milestone this year by upgrading our representative office in Tokyo to a complete company branch – the IDS Imaging Co., giving the Japanese and Asian markets the prominence they deserve’, concludes Torsten Wiesinger.
