Ideematec Deutschland GmbH is to supply the tracking systems for the biggest open-ground, tracking-based photovoltaics facility in Greece. The contract for the 1.5 MW facility was signed at the Ecotech in Athens. Customer is the Greek company NRG Orion, which will realize the project in Skydra near Thessaloniki for Kronos s.a., also from Greece. Ideematec's new Greek partner, Megawatt s.a., was instrumental in landing the order. It is planned to use the ST 32 tracking system, which was released at the Intersolar 2009 and has been continually upgraded ever since. Today this system has a module area of more than 38 m².
The project is due to kick off in just a few days, with completion planned for July already. For Ideematec it marks a veritable milestone in its Greek business to date. The business relations now established will clearly contribute to the company's success in future projects.
