IDC MarketScape on Worldwide Integrated Talent Management Shows a Very Tight Field

(PresseBox) (Framingham, Mass., ) International Data Corporation (IDC) has published its 2014 MarketScape report profiling and ranking the leading providers in the worldwide integrated talent management market. This new research shows a tight field and indicates that the majority of integrated talent management vendors are pursuing similar tactics to differentiate themselves, making it more difficult for buyers to distinguish among them.

IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Integrated Talent Management 2014 Vendor Analysis (IDC #252213) evaluates the offerings and prospects of thirteen vendors' relative capabilities. These providers were evaluated using detailed criteria that IDC identified as key factors contributing to vendor success in the worldwide integrated talent management market. The vendors included in the analysis are ADP, Cornerstone OnDemand, Halogen Software, IBM, Infor HCM, Lumesse, Peoplefluent, Oracle Talent Cloud, Saba, SilkRoad, SuccessFactors (an SAP company), SumTotal, and Technomedia.

The IDC MarketScape methodology placed Cornerstone OnDemand, Halogen Software, IBM, Oracle Talent Cloud, Peoplefluent, and SuccessFactors (an SAP Company) in the "Leaders" category.

The competitive field is exceedingly close and getting closer all the time. Many attempts at differentiation are centering right now on HR analytics. The challenge is that with everyone pursuing similar tactics, the results are proving to be indistinguishable. In addition to HR analytics, most players are delivering or working on delivering consumer-like user experiences.

In particular, client perception of feature depth and for integration of talent systems with core HR rose significantly.
