Prior to joining IDC, Khaki was a client-facing manager at Ernst and Young LLP where he specialized in information security within the advisory practice. His main sector focus was the financial services industry, where he acted as a trusted advisor to a number of large banks and insurance organizations. Khaki has delivered a number of multimillion dollar engagements across the information security domain, most recently in data security and privacy, identity and access management, application security assessments, ISO 27002:2005 compliance, compliance monitoring (e.g., security patching), and information security policy and processes

In his research, Khaki will cover a broad portfolio of security technologies, including identity and access management (IAM) software, network security software, endpoint security software, messaging security software, web security software, and security and vulnerability management (SVM) software. Based on his background, he will also have a major focus on writing for and advising IDC's end-user clients on topics relating to IT security and data protection.
Khaki holds a masters in information security from Royal Holloway University of London and obtained Data Protection Practitioner certification from BCS, The Charted Institute for IT.
