ICPDAS setzt im Industrial Internet of Things auf das wichtigste Kommunikationsprotokoll MQTT, ebenso wie die gängigen Cloud-Anbieter Microsoft Azure und IBM Bluemix. Das Message Queue Telemetry Transport (MQTT) Protokoll gewährleistet neben seiner sehr zuverlässigen Nachrichtenübertragung, eine einfache Client-Implementierung sowie einen sparsamen Umgang mit Bandbreite. Die Besonderheit der neuen MQTT Gateways MQ-7200M von ICPDAS sind die integrierten I/Os für einen direkten Anschluss von Sensoren und Aktoren. Mit dem eingebetteten Webserver können alle Einstellungen am Gateway ohne zusätzliche Software sofort über einen Browser erledigt werden. Ein weiterer Vorteil ist das industrielle Design der MQ-7200M Gateways. Das Metallgehäuse sorgt für Robustheit, die Temperaturunempfindlichkeit für den Einsatz in rauer Umgebung und die LED-Anzeige für einfache Installation und Wartung. Die Konfigurationsoptionen für die Einschaltwerte und die Einstellung der Safe Values bieten zusätzliche Sicherheit im Industrieumfeld.
