Internet Security Systems (ISS) verzeichnete für das Geschäftsjahr 2004 nach GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) einen Netto-Gewinn von 26,293 Millionen US-Dollar oder 54 US-Cent pro Aktie. Verglichen mit dem Geschäftsergebnis 2003 (19,737 Millionen US-Dollar oder 39 US-Cent pro Aktie) bedeutet dies eine Steigerung des Netto-Gewinns um 33,2 Prozent. Im vierten Quartal 2004 hat ISS den Netto-Gewinn gegenüber dem Vergleichszeitraum des Vorjahres um über 100 Prozent auf 9,202 Millionen US-Dollar oder 19 US-Cent pro Aktie gesteigert (2003: 4,449 Millionen US-Dollar oder 9 US-Cent pro Aktie).
Weitere Umsatzsteigerung für 2005 erwartet
Für das Geschäftsjahr 2005 (01. Januar bis 31. Dezember) erwarten die Security-Experten einen Umsatz zwischen 325 und 335 Millionen US-Dollar. Nach GAAP strebt ISS einen Netto-Gewinn von 69 bis 75 US-Cent pro Aktie an. Das Unternehmen erwartet für das erste Quartal des neuen Geschäftsjahres (01. Januar bis 31. März) Umsätze zwischen 75 und 79 Millionen US-Dollar. Der Gewinn pro Aktie nach GAAP wird für das erste Quartal 2005 voraussichtlich 14 bis 17 US-Cent pro Aktie betragen.
