Gartner reported today that IBM (NYSE: IBM) continues to hold the number one position in worldwide server revenue share, with 30.1 percent revenue share in the third quarter of 2007. [1]
"We believe IBM's eight consecutive years of leadership in the worldwide server market is a testament to our commitment to technology innovation for our clients," said Bill Zeitler, senior vice president and group executive for IBM Systems & Technology Group. [2]
According to Gartner, IBM's System z mainframe led servers priced at $250,000 or more with 31 percent worldwide revenue share for 3Q07. [3]
IBM also led 3Q07 revenue share in the Americas (US, Canada, and LA) with 31.8 percent and the Asia Pacific, Japan regions with 30.9 percent, according to Gartner. [4]
