eZ systems is opening the Online Editor by licensing it under the GPL. This means that the Online Editor, which used to be sold for $ 99 under a Proprietary License, is now freely available.
To customers and partners who bought the Online Editor within the last six months, eZ systems will provide a gift certificate for products and
services available from www.ez.no. Purchases made in the last three months will be reimbursed 100%; purchases made in the preceding three months will be reimbursed at 50% of the original purchase price.
Vidar Top, VP of Sales & Relations, says: "This is something we have wanted to do for a long time. eZ community really deserves all our support, and this is a great way to show how much we appreciate what they do."
The eZ publish conference starts tomorrow in Skien, Norway, where participants will be able to talk directly to the developers of eZ publish and the eZ publish Online Editor.
