The recognised non-profit charitable foundation for tropical forests, OroVerde, is celebrating its 25th birthday this year. HSM GmbH + Co. KG, the Southern German manufacturer of document shredders, cutting machines, baling presses etc., has been lending this organisation its support with the reforestation and protection of tropical rainforests in Guatemala since 2008, and extends its sincere congratulations on this special occasion.
HSM's contribution has allowed OroVerde to set up specific tree-planting projects, help to improve the climate and to contribute directly to protecting tropical rainforests. The managing director of the charitable foundation was enthusiastic about the partnership between OroVerde and HSM right from the beginning: "Thanks to HSM's financial support, another village can join our project; this is an important step towards the protection of tropical forests in this region", said Dr. Volkhard Wille, the head of the OroVerde tropical forest charity. The aim is to add additional villages to the project to achieve the best-possible results. "We would like to thank HSM very much for their dedication and hope that other companies will follow their example", said Dr. Wille.
