Bisher wurden mehrere Demonstrationsmodelle vorgestellt, die Energie erzeugen und speichern können. Darunter z. B. Warnschutzbekleidung der Firma Tempex, Kinderbekleidung der Firma Kanz, Sportbekleidung der Firma Maier Sports und Denimbekleidung der Firma Bogner Jeans.
Im Rahmen der Sonderschau „future market“ mit dem Schwerpunkt „smart fashion“ werden vom 9. bis zum 15. März 2006 auf der CeBIT in Halle 9 nun drei weitere Funktionsmuster gezeigt: eine Kinderjacke mit aktiven Leucht-elementen der Firma Kanz sowie eine Snowboard-Jacke von Maier Sports und eine Freizeitjacke der Firma Bogner Jeans, deren eingebaute Solarzel-len über eine USB-Schnittstelle Energie z. B. zum Betreiben eines mp3-Players liefern.
Im Projekt wurden unter anderem flexible Solarzellen optimiert, geeignete Leitungs- und Verbindungselemente erarbeitet, innovative Montageprozesse untersucht sowie sinnvolle Einsatzbereiche definiert und die optimale Positi-onierung der Solarzellen auf den Kleidungsstücken analysiert.
