Diagnosis on demand

The innovative diagnostic solution from Herth+Buss

(PresseBox) (Heusenstamm, )
With our innovative new diagnostic solution Diagnosis on Demand, we take over at the point where independent workshops often reach their limits. With Diagnosis on Demand VCI (Vehicle Communication Interface), dealers and workshops are offered the perfect device for easily programming or coding vehicle control units if needed following their replacement. Diagnosis on Demand also comes in handy when retrofitting trailer hitches or other accessories.

We can also help with diagnosing complex faults in electronics. Geared to each enquiry, garages only pay a fixed price for the service they require. With our DoD, you are on the safe side:
  • No update costs, but software that's always up to date
  • No expensive hardware licences, just the service required
To obtain direct access to the vehicle data, only the OBD cable has to be connected to the vehicle. In the next step, plug the USB-C connection of the dongle into the connection of the Android device (DoD 1.0) or connect the dongle directly to the Internet (DoD 2.0), select the model and function and wait for completion.

With DoD 1.0, the Android-based app Diagnosis on Demand, Herth+Buss, establishes an online connection between the vehicle in the workshop and our diagnostic team. In DoD 2.0, the online connection is established via the Web browser, removing the limitation to Android. DoD 2.0 additionally features the communication protocols/standards DoIP (Diagnostics over Internet Protocol) and CAN FD (Controller Area Network Flexible Data-Rate), meaning that DoD 2.0 will also remain suitable for use with future vehicle models.

The benefits are clear to see. The vehicle no longer needs to leave the workshop and our diagnostic team takes care of diagnosis remotely, so workshops can save valuable time and money. The workshop also has the option of contacting our diagnostic team directly via a chat function from the time of order acceptance.

Our Diagnosis on Demand is ideal for anyone looking for a cost-effective solution for programming and coding vehicle electronics. You can find further information on our website: https://herthundbuss.com/products/highlights/diagnosis/.
